today we’re taking a look at a motorized sit-stand desk…Flexispot Deals… you might have seen my evaluation on the uplift desk, if not …
In general, I should say I like the Flexispot E7.
here are lots of things to love about the Flexispot E7. In general, my experience was really favorable.
It’s really easy to put together, and it took my 11-year-old daughter and I (I mainly just monitored) under an hour from start to finish.
It’s extremely durable and can hold a lot of weight. If you don’t believe me, check out the video below of it running while there’s an individual lying down on it.
The electric raise/lower feature is not just easy to use and quick, but it’s also surprisingly smooth and quiet.
You can program your preferred standing and sitting heights, and it will remember them, making it easy to change between the two without providing it much idea.
On top of being practical, it also looks terrific in my workplace (I got the bamboo leading desk).
The width is also adjustable so it can fit in smaller spaces.
It’s suitable for users with heights from 4′ 2″ all the way as much as 6′ 4″ (if you’re taller than 6′ 4″, you might want to include a display stand to your workstation).
The cable television tray keeps all of those charging cables arranged, which is also helpful if your furry coworker likes to chew on or play with your cable televisions.
Flexispot has alternatives that are even more inexpensive than numerous other desks like it.
Flexispot Standing Desk Evaluation – Cons
Cons: What I Didn’t Like About the Flexispot E7
The cons on this desk are minimal, here are a few features that I wasn’t always a huge fan of:
The package that the desk came in was heavy, so bringing it inside was a group effort, but this is just a repercussion of how tough the Flexispot is.
The convenient cable tray was a little bit confusing to set up. In the end, you eventually slip it under screws, which wasn’t extremely clear from the instructions.
You will need to purchase an anti-fatigue mat to stay comfortable, but this is a great idea for any standing desks, so I can’t fault Flexispot for that.
When it showed up and I saw how heavy it was, I was both thrilled (given that this indicated it was going to be durable) and likewise a little hesitant (due to the fact that we all know how much of an obstacle putting together furniture can be).
Thankfully, with the help of an instructional YouTube link, it took me only around 42 minutes to put together. Scratch that, it took my 11-year-old child, with some guidance from me, from start to finish. The only problem I have with assembly was the cable tray, which I discovered wasn’t explained well in the instructions.
Is it worth getting a standing desk?
When put together, I like the streamlined appearance of this desk. I’m confident any of the many varied surfaces that it comes in would look fantastic in any office, and the adjustable width makes it easy to fit it in even the tiniest of home offices.
The quiet operation and height memory settings make it easy, efficient, and quiet to switch between sitting and standing as often times as you desire throughout the day.
This desk is durable. It can hold up to 335 pounds even while in operation, so if you have a large desktop (or want to take a nap on it for some reason) it has you covered. It will also equally distribute weight no matter how out of balance the weight you place on it is, it will not wobble or wiggle.
in that video is quite kitted out as the desk we’re taking a look at today is pretty standard I tried to get as near that as I could on uplifts site with comparable configurations the flexi area desk we’re taking a look at today will run you about four hundred and ten dollars versus six hundred and fifty for a comparable desk from uplift I try to get as close as possible with the uplift design is in fact five inches longer but you can do a lot with five inches boom yes now for openness flexi spot did send this desk out for review however as you should know by now does not impact my review in any way the desktop here is 55 inches broad 28 inches deep and comes as a $40 upgrade from the base size of 48 by thirty sixty by thirty is coming however it’s not delivering till completion of April at the earliest the desktop is an inch thick however it’s this standard laminate as you can perhaps get doing not have even any cable grommets for pass through the outside container
for the desktop was not harmed in any way which is absolutely bizarre since I might shoot a 30-second b-roll montage of simply the damage and defects on this desktop scuffed scraped pitted just incredibly rough male if I had actually bought this I ‘d have been on the phone with customer service immediately they did also managed to miss out on drilling the pilot holes where you can connect the control box to the desktop a lot of having to do that myself without unintentionally drilling through the other side of the desktop so yeah pilot holes in wood screws is how you’re gon na be connecting the surface to the frame that’s a far cry from the embedded metal inserts that we saw on the uplift desk so assembly aside from having to drill that top was really quite simple the whole thing came together in about 45 minutes and despite the fact that there’s cables running to it from each element to support motorized function strangely absolutely where any kind of cable television management materials whatsoever the frame on this unit is a single motor double stage style versus the dual motor three-stage design that comes requirement with the uplift desk this can be upgraded as well to both the dual phase dual motor and a three-stage dual motor which pushes the cost of the desk up
an additional 70 bucks the frame is created for a max load of 154 pounds and it moves at a rate at an inch per second the height can range from just under 28 inches to just over forty 7 point 6 inches so a max I ‘d it is more than high enough even for me and I stay at 6 foot for this design does come standard with the control board that enables up-and-down motion plus three memory spots with an LED readout to inform you the desk height the single motor design uses this drive shaft assembly which needs to be adjusted as the width of the desk is changed the motor operation itself while it might be slow is extremely peaceful as in barely audible this outside a cost would be the one advantage I would give this system over the uplift desk and I wish to take care here since this isn’t a hit piece this desk is 240 dollars less expensive than the equivalent uplift design over 35% less expensive even if you update this flexi area test to the double motor three-stage design it still comes in a hundred and seventy dollars less expensive than the uplift however less expensive doesn’t indicate cheap this desk is still over four hundred dollars if I had actually paid over $400 for this desk I ‘d have an issue with that the front to back stability of this desk is solid even if max height I’ll definitely provide it that however the lateral stability of this desk the horizontal movement at this cost point it’s unacceptable it’s add insult to injury here they consist of a little safety baffle this little steel piece that mounts to the frame and covers a part of this rotating driveshaft when
this desk sees any lateral movement at all the drive shaft strikes the sound and this baffle is absolutely frustrating to leading things off I chose to add rolling casters to this desk this was a $30 upgrade and two of those 4 casters showed up harmed too my plan for this desk at this point is to lose the desk top and came with entirely and change it with a white laminate lemon table from Ikea and utilize it as an adjustable photo table which you can’t do this frame will accommodate desktops up to 63 inches broad and 31 and a half inches deep so this will roll around the studio make it simpler to movie products without having to change complex or heavy slider setups and what I personally pay $400 for that no I lucked out that I found uplift initially that is a financial investment in quality office furniture that will last you this at best seems like a more affordable imitation of that it just doesn’t feel quality and the difference between this desk and my main desk is night and day do do not hesitate to have a look at their website too which likewise feels strangely similar to one of their competitors there’s a wealth of devices you can get for the flexi spot desk as much as and consisting of a foot massager and even a fixed exercise bike and I might spend another 10 minutes of our precious time covering numerous choices and devices I could but I think I’m happier that they just sent out a basic desk since as a fundamental desk I’m not a fan of the quality assurance at this price point and I do not believe slapping on a lot of bonus is the relocation when the core item isn’t what it must be they do offer a 30-day trial if you’re simply morbidly curious and they warranty their desks for three years very desk is 5 years and uplift desk is 7 years if you are Flexispot Deals
in the market for a sit-stand desk they’re incredible mine’s been a life changer for me both in terms of video gaming and efficiency but I would invest the extra money it’s gon na take to enter a higher end maker like uplift desk or really desk and I have not personally used extremely desk items so I can’t speak on it but their reputation is excellent huge thanks to flexi spot for sending this out for review sadly I can not recommend this system and for the record I’m a hundred percent sure they would have happily replaced the parts that I had a problem with seeing as how both the desktop and the casters got here harmed but from a customer standpoint you ‘d most likely be really thrilled to get this in
